. Posted in Barangay Profiles

1.     History

Barangay San Juan was once a sitio of Bulanao, the largest barangay of all the barangays of Tabuk. However, with the increased of population of the area which make it hard for the Barangay Officials to govern, they segregated Barangay San Juan from Bulanao that was during the term of Congressman Juan M. Duyan.

Because Barangay San Juan was newly segregated, and giving an honor to the Congressman, they adopted his first name “Juan” from Juan M. Duyan and “San” from the Patron Saints. Thus, establishing the name of Barangay San Juan and since then, the place was called San Juan.
