1.     History

            Barangay New Tanglag was created under Provincial Ordinance No. 87-004 separating from its mother Barangay Gobgob upon its ratification by a majority vote in a plebiscite conducted by the COMELEC on March 21, 1987, pursuant to the provisions of Section 82 Chapter 1, Title 1 of the Local Government Code, and the first set of officials shall have been appointed by the Provincial Governor pursuant to Section 1, rules XV111 of the rules and regulations implementing the government code.

 

            The first Barangay Captain when the barangay was formally created was the late Emilio Dayag.  He was succeeded by the following:

 

1.    Alfonso Pasudag           -           1991-1994

2.    Mauricio Bannoya, Sr.  -           1996-1997

3.    Constancio Dayag         -           1997-1998

4.    Primo Bannoya              -           1998-2002

5.    Melecio Gayagay           -           2002-present
