1. History
Pinambaran is a part of the Municipality of Tabuk located 11 kilometer east of Barangay Bulanao and 15 kilometers south of the Municipality of Rizal. Before the year 1950, this place was a hunting ground for the people from Dagupan, Tabuk. This place had no name yet until the year 1948 when the Bureau of Land conducting a land survey under the leadership of a certain Japanese nationality named Pizzaro. At that time they were surveying, they found out that there were many wild pigs and deer. So they took advantage of hunting although their real purpose to the place was to survey. This became popular to the team and even to their officemates. So these people took surveying as their alibi to go to the place for hunting. In this group of surveyor team, “Piinambaran” became an expression in taking their leave of absence in their office jobs. “Kanya-kanya nga pambar”. It was this group that named the place “Pinambaran”. It was only named Nambaran when peope were settled there.
In 1950, the first family to settle was Gregorio Carbonel occupying the western portion. After some, they with his brothers and nephews from Dagupan they settled permanently composing less than 10 families.
In 1965, another group of Bago tribe from Dagupan came and occupied the eastern portion and began tiling the lands during rainy season. Nambaran became a sitio of Barangay Bulanao.
In 1968, Nambaran was created as regular barangay of the Municipality of Tabuk under Republic Act 3590, Section 3, Article 11 known as the Barrio Charter, through Re solution No. 841 of the Provinicial Board. Gregorio Carbonel was appointed as OIC Barangay Captain until Simeon Carbonel was elected as the first Barangay Captain until 1972.
In 1980, a group of Tulgao tribes headed by Treasurer Vicente Tayab came and settled at the center portion of Nambaran. But because of tribal conflicts, they returned home leaving their cultivated lands. After some years, they came back with a bigger number occupying the Airstrip reservations. From 1986 to 1988, different tribes bought lands and also established permanent residence here. Today, majority of the residents are the Tulgao tribes composing of 230 households.
