Author’s Note: The following is the body of my speech during the First Foundation Day program on June 24,2008. By: Mayor Camilo T. Lammawin Jr. Successful LGUs go through rebirths over time. The founding generation of Tabuk could only have dreams then of transforming this barren land into a prosperous place — by turning it into a productive agricultural town in the Mt. Provinces. But our booming resources did not only make us the rice bowl of the Cordillera Region; it likewise gave us a chance to take on bigger roles, to reinvent our place, and to advance the visions of the founding fathers. And today, we celebrate the valuable contributions of our generation, as we open a new chapter in the history of Tabuk, which is the momentous celebration of our First Tabuk City Foundation Day. |
